If I Can'T Put It In Rhyming Words
If I can't put it in rhyming words it doesn't need to be said If I can't put it down on paper the thoughts won't leave my head I've had people laugh at my losses without knowing how much I bled That's why if I can't put it in rhyming words it doesn't need to be said I've shed tears and lost blood over people who are no longer here with me They're still alive, they left when things got bad, it was only the good times they wanted to share with me an unloved child will grow up to be a broken man who can't be repaired quickly I'm uncomfortable living in a dream world, I feel more safe and at peace when the nightmares hit me It's a slow climb but it feels like the mountain gets bigger Bottled up thoughts encouraging me to take a drink from a fountain of liquor I can't give up, there's more chance of drowning a swimmer I'm focused on completing the race, I'm not worried about if they're crowning a winner When I was a lost little boy in foster care I had to act like a tough guy just to survive The things I had to go through will break your heart and crush your pride I smiled for the world so no one knew just how much I cried I've slowly started to appreciate life, I've came a long way from my teenage days where I was in a rush to die Even if I could, I wouldn't take anything back, everything I say should be left spoke Words left unsaid will be what you regret most Some will say I'm too open and honest, and that some of this doesn't need to be said But if I can put it in rhyming words then it needs to be said
