Heavenly Father of Righteousness
Heavenly Father of righteousness the long path I lay in dreadful darkness may tomorrow be inundated by light, not darkened by rain-swollen clouds; I seek serenity, not another tempest. Heavenly Father of righteousness, why won't a proud man ask for forgiveness, for having inflicted pain on their children and not expunged the evil acts of a villain? Lord, I've known many days of anger and turning hostile I refused to be kind to an uncaring dad flinging discipline, not the affection that a son needed; and not ever loving him as a father, I didn't look forward to being sane. I didn't live the life of a normal kid and suffered not have had the support that built confidence, that gave a fragile kid the necessary guidance; not even once I was encouraged for my effort, if I failed he laughed at me and scolded me; mom watched me and looked at him with fright, but her hug gave me the needed solace protecting me in any way she possibly could. Heavenly Father of righteousness, lift this veil of unpardonable grudge off my grieving face, let me erase the image of surly and unbearable days if a childhood that left scars on the youngest soul in distress; And I grew up following intuition avoiding being slashed by a sword not flinging curses, but remaining kind after being torn apart by hostility and unfairness.
