And why can't I hear my own words when I write poetry? And for most of my life ... I continued my journey blindly without an answer ... until recently, I finally received the answer to both questions ... but I had to dig deep with God's help, and now ... I introduce myself and my truths to you ... Here is my story ... -------------------------PAIN FROM WITHIN THE MIRROR--------------------------- For most of my life ... I would stare into the mirror and saw no reflection... Why? Because I could see the junkyard of hidden pain, Hidden hate, hidden tears ... A history of ... Hidden rejections that had festered for many of years. So instead of dealing... I decided to hide behind the words that gave so many ... the gifts of God's love and healing. Oh God! I am so sorry for not seeing the beauty you created me to be ... For I am your poet ... Your daughter of spirit ... A woman with a gift who handed her words to others ... For inspiration, acceptances Love and validation ... So now ... As I sit here in tears ... I can now heal. For I know now That I no longer have to hide behind the words that held me back for so many years. And as I write this poem ... I am beginning to hear ... Because I am facing my testimony ... I am seeing my beauty within the reflection of the mirror ... Because I passed the test of time and pointed out my wrongs... Now I am ready for my graduation and God's ceremony. Hello All!
