The Epiphany
My heart gladdens Seeing bright lights at midnight I survived another concept of time. My spirit resonates with the strings of life Brooding on our sheer existence How we live? What we live for? And what’s after this life? It always seems meaningless Dying to live when you are living to die Our reality a sweet oxymoron What if we didn’t know evil What if we didn’t know pain What if we didn’t have to face fears What if we were immortal No one has forever I reckon, I sometimes envy the dying Inclined with their numbered days No more odds to beat in this cruel world I believe the universe has forces Controlling our spirits steadily I believe this is not the end May the spirits hear us solemnly Like the magi let us see our stars Order our steps even through darkness Let us fall prostrate in praise at the solemn shores of this roaring ocean And never let us back on the road of evil Who do I believe in? Something much greater than our existence So mysterious only death can explain So I tell the lost and wanderer If you hear His voice , harden not your heart The Northern Shakespeare.
