They Were
She was called "fat" They told her she's above of what she should be at. The drive and confidence was something that she lacked. She was 13 when she became anorexic. Starving herself of her dignity and happiness, she watched herself as her reflection disappeared in a spoon and she succumbed to the nothingness. He was 11 when he was called stupid. A straight-A student, made himself believe that he wouldn't be favored by cupid. His grades declined and gave into the riptide of depression, building a citadel around his secession. Not letting anything in, out Leaving many, out. She was 15 when she was called "ugly" She was told she was unworthy of the love that could be given to anyone other than her. Taught that whenever she was called "beautiful" or pretty, she was being lied to- It wouldn't be long until her vision would no longer blur. She wore a mask to school and saw mirrors everywhere. She is beyond beauty, this I swear. They were rolling stones thrown from the creak we used to roam. Always on the move, they were different, because how can you settle down when you think you've got nothing to prove? As if it were the price to pay to be accepted into a society that couldn't accept them for who they were. It wouldn't be long until their vision would no longer blur.
