Never Enough
In the what seems to be a 'no man's land' in Eastern Mesopotamia, there was discovered a king and people group with an unknown language. No one ever knew for certain where this king or his kingdom came from, but everyone assumed that they were superior to them because their body frame and structure were vastly different. They walked upright but looked beastly. Legion has it that at one time they were the same as us; but one name Dormin, of the more aggressive member of the region, felt that they were ill-equipped to handle all their many challenges. This Dormin is said to have descended from a Biblical character, a king name Nimrod from the land of Shinar. Dormin' felt that when they went hunting, they were never able to kill ENOUGH; when they went fishing, they never caught ENOUGH; and when their crops were planted, they never planted ENOUGH and therefore could never grow and harvest ENOUGH to satisfy the needs of the region. Moreover, like his distant ancestor, Dormin' always blamed God for any and everything that did not go his way. So one day, Dormin' decided that he had ENOUGH of 'not having ENOUGH' and proceeded to do something about it. They needed more rain at certain times and there was never ENOUGH, but he could not make it rain. So he blamed God. They needed milder summers, but he could not control the sun. So he blamed God. He noted the outside forces that were out of his control and beyond his ability to alter. Moreover, although he believed that God existed, he did not worship or pray to God. He believed more in himself than anything or anybody else. So when he meditated, he looked within himself, not to God. As he meditated, he sensed that there were things about himself, about his physical frame that he wanted to change. He did not have a clue about engineering what he was thinking in his head. So he decided to use his voice as a 'Command Master' to accomplish things, or turn fiction into reality. Two hands were not ENOUGH he thought. So he commanded that two more sets of hands be grown, and it happened. Two eyes, two ears, one mouth and a nose were too few to produce the needs of the region. So he master minded four more eyes, two more ears, and two additional noses. I know. You are saying, "What and wow!" Stay tuned. Of course he had to grow a much bigger head to accommodate these additions. So his head tripled in size. He then enlarged and made stronger bone and muscle and added another set of feet to his body. From that point on, he decided that his body was going to be a work in progress, and he would make adjustment as needed. But for now, he would use his 'Command Master' to duplicate his body form in every person in the region. This, mind you, was for the purpose of increased production. Within the first year, the Kingdom of 'Dormin' produced far more than ENOUGH to satisfy all the people and animals of the kingdom. However, Dormin' was still unsatisfied and never ceased his endless search for satisfaction. Like so many mortals of our day, he never asked the question, "When is ENOUGH, ENOUGH?" Dormin never realized the source of his name and how it deeply influenced his life and habits. He was a direct descendant of NIMROD, and he bore the spirit and attitude of his anti-God, narcissistic ancestor. Even his name, DORMIN, was NIMROD spelled backwards. 121320PS
