No Pardon For Jesus
I never cease to be amazed When in the morn the sun is raised To brightly light our lovely land A present wrought by God's own hand They mocked his short eventful life His miracles, did not heed Instead, they likened them to some Performing sorcerer's magic deeds His father there in Heaven Saw they did not understand He told His Son that He must die To save this sinful land They beat Him with a leather whip His back now scarred and raw He knew now that His time would come On an early Easter dawn Upon His head they placed a crown Of sharply pointed thorns That cut into His wrinkled brow On Crucifixion morn He wearily strode up to the hill As though in a fog They tied each hand and nailed his feet To a cross of roughhewn log They raised His cross so very high His soulful eyes rose to the sky He said, I give my life, in this place To save from sin the human race Yet, on that hill on Easter morn God's son was killed, and the world was warned He died for all, for every man To live sin free upon His land And to mankind who do not believe They should go down on bended knee And ask our Father from above To forgive our sins with Fatherly love There isn't much He asks of us To live forever without a fuss Love thy neighbor as if they are kin Open up your heart, and let Jesus in Once you do, your life will change And you'll no more have the sinner's rage A life or beauty and fulfillment you'll see When you believe His words, "COME, FOLLOW ME!
