Love Poem
I was empty at the start, but a shell of a man. Hopeless drunkard and a menace with no path and no plan. On the day that we met, I fell in love with your laugh, with your smile and your kindness, slowly, you carved the pain from my past and with each new day I began to learn to live and love again, at last I cannot begin to express the true extent in which You, And only you are forever embedded in my heart. Each pulsing beat a reminder of the reasons My heart beats only for you. My blood warms only to keep you from freezing. You are both my reason for breathing and yet the reason I'm left breathless all the time. The very sight of you leaves me stunned beyond belief Your embrace grants the most beautiful relief to all Life's aches and pains, thank you. I hope this is enough.
