The Gates of Heaven
Last night I dreamed of heaven and I saw the pearly gates. I saw what was waiting there for me, and it was absolutely great. There stood all of my puppies each wagging their little tails. Each one was there to greet me as I came upon their trail. I saw Ginger and Summer, Kimba and Maddy as well. I then saw Cujo, Taylor and the Gabs, with many a tale to tell. I saw every beautiful dog that had been there throughout my years. I even saw their wings as I dropped to my knees in tears. I then saw my Lord and Savior he was standing there in their midst. He was showing me some of his angels that I had loved and dearly missed. I could also see my parents they were grinning from ear to ear. They were also standing with their puppies I couldn’t believe I was finally here. I could see them all but three, then my heart began to sink. I didn’t see Bella, Lilly or my Lola in her studded collar of pink. I couldn’t understand how heaven, would bring me such pain and strife. Then I turned around and looked, they had stayed behind to protect my wife.
