Jesus Loves You But I Don'T
Follow the darkness Through a brightly lit tunnel casting beams of white I can feel the pulse of electricity all around me A quiet buzz like that you get off a six pack We followed our dreams And, it's all meant nothing up until this point Think we'll wake up after this? Maybe one day in the heart of winter We'll wake up in thick blankets of snow Pockets of deep sleep melted our dreams as we opened our eyes Street lights shattered the falling snowflakes individualities Casting boring prisms into the night sky Salt stains and fingerprints littered the glass of abandoned car windows I noticed we were following paths of others footsteps that passed before us I stopped and began walking the other way I didn't say a word to anyone when I turned around It was a silent death That in which my footsteps echoed with loneliness The snowflakes turned crimson red And, showered the broken pavement in painful rose pedals Littering the red velvet ground all around me It was significant Just as significant as when I chose to walk alone It was beautiful, though Only if the others could open their minds and cast themselves out their color blind reality And, vision a selfless path leading them out of their opaque truth
