Carry Me Back
Her feathers shaking in the wind. Air moves over them as they tickle my skin. I look down at the world below. As we soar into the unknown. As I peer into the abyss My eyes are closed by a kiss. "Do not be afraid" her words echoed through my head. "There is no pain here, you are already dead". Shaken only for second, my eyes slowly seep open I'm now staring down at a light, as vast as an ocean. Her arms open letting me go and I start to plummet down Falling closer to the light, i notice there is no sound. So close now, I feel the light warming my skin As I hear her voice speak to me again. "Take the deepest breath that you can my friend. It is time now for your death to end". I'm upside down now, as liquid leaves my lungs. I am alive again as someone's newborn son.
