False News False News False News
How can a ghost have a green thumb? I asked them. It is false news! False news! False news! This is 2020. If we know one thing to yell in America It is that things are false news. But this ghost has such a way with plants, she said. You have to come see for yourself. He has his own greenhouse, and he is giving them away. I followed her, thinking false news with every ounce of my being. This is how it is over here in the USA. Once we make up our mind, we will not change it no matter what we see with our own eyes. False news! False news! False news! I was muttering under my breath. She drove me to the ghost’s greenhouse. It was spectacular. Amazing. Compelling. He was genuine, sweet, kind, generous, giving. He gave me African violets, geraniums, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, mums, mother-in-law-tongue and a beautiful chrysanthemum. I was astounded. My girlfriend called me the next day to tell me about the ghost with the green thumb. That is false news, I said. Determined to never change my mind.
