Nothing Has Changed
One day I arose, December 10th I propose. 2019 was the year, I would experience true fear. I opened my eye's I have no idea, that I have been sick gravely ill as doctors would appear! Men and women in white coats and concern, but this is the day I would truly learn. "Hello Mrs Rogers how do you feel? Stricken with confusion it didn't feel real! "Where am I" I asked, and it seem all a blur, your sick" they replied, in disbelief I could not concur and again I asked "Please are you sure?. I look around and all I see were tubes and machines running through me. I began to kick and scream with no luck. I was paralyzed and could not move and realized I was stuck. No memory of such a thing I started to scream, ,I'm not sick please tell me where I am. Days had gone by and still I could not move, I starred at the walls, and watched They closed in. I started to feel pain in my chest as I breathed, the pain that I felt you wouldn't believe. Slowly I went along with their scheme, I had to find out what all of this means. I practiced for days to get strong again, and had come to terms what my body just did. Ten doctors stood in front of my face and said Frieda you have Covid and your very sick, your kidneys don't work, and a catheters been put in. You went through a heart attack, and septic shock to boot you have pneumonia of both lungs, and we loosened a tooth, we start dialysis today, you died for 20 minutes, we should mention ass well, so if your chest hurts is because it went through hell. With my mouth hung open in disbelief, I had been up there over two weeks. I became stronger but never the same. My body is weekend and Covids to blame. But I rise up and God takes my hand.
