When Your Eyes Meet Mine
I often wonder ~ ~ What would you think if only you knew my heart flutters at the thought of kissing you. I get lost in wishful reveries of what could be until I come to grips with the sad reality ~ ~ You have never looked at me as anything more than a friend. I don't think you ever notice little things, like how often I quickly look away when your eyes meet mine ~ ~ or the blush that colors my cheeks each time you come near. When you smile, shadows seem to disappear I hear your laughter and begin to shiver ~ ~ knowing I would quiver at your slightest touch. A sigh escapes my lips at the thought of it. I long to have you whisper in my ear endearing words uttered in passion's breath. Those I often dream of hearing ~ ~ Intimate things, spoken in throes of love. If wishes could quench my thirst for you I would be eternally drunk on requests. My hunger well-sated by ardent feasting upon a banquet of untethered desires. If only you knew how much I want you, would it cause you fear and grief? Or is there a chance you'd be relieved that I was the one who opened that door? If you looked deeply into my eyes and neither of us turned away ~ ~ would you see my fear in confessing my love and would you wipe away my tears? Still I wonder ~ ~ What would you do, if only I would tell you What would you say, if only you knew ~ ~ October 25, 2020 ~ If Only You Knew ~ ~ Sponsor: Silent One ~
