The will to survive
Will to survive A tale of survivors guilt or heroism do not with i begin But rather with the opposite of willing not to live My nieces boyfriends brother hung himself on Christmas day And all i thought afterwards was surely at some point right up until he tied the knot and placed it around his neck Was how he found the strength of will to do it And how at no point leading up to it he similarly could not summon up the same force of will to undo it As if only half the will and courage that took was matched in equal measure by the willingness to survive Contemplating suicide would not have been an option in the first place So why and what's the defining reason between him and those in far worse dire consequence and situation Who summon forth the strength of will to overcome survive and tell Than those who loose the will to live in defiance of all reason I suppose the reason is the very reason itself and whether or not If it's reason deemed worthy enough for the mind to survive in order to get back
