I lay on the sand under blazing sun, happy to have survived the pandemic; and drift off to a restless, dark sleep, of sabbatical dreams after quarantine. I leave the crashing, roaring waves and beach, and stop at the corner store for cheap wine; at my building some people are standing, the label I hide on the wine bottle.
