Where Jesus Lives
There is a face I long to see - the face of Him who died for me, and when i reach eternity, my eyes shall gaze upon the One for whom my God reserved the punishment that I deserved, that He may be forever served as Prince of Peace; God's Son. There is a name I love to praise - the name to whom my voice I raise; I will exalt His name always with thankfulness in song. He holds our present in His hand, our past He has so wisely planned to lead us to the promised land; the land we've sought so long. There is a place I long to be, where we’ll behold God’s majesty, and meet the saints of history who followed Him before; who left behind the tears of earth to meet the One of boundless worth who welcomed them into new birth beyond the grave's dark door. There is a sound I’d love to hear - the trumpet blast when He'll appear as voices shout, "The King is here!", what joy this sweet thought gives. We tread this wilderness of night and though each step may be a fight, we walk by faith and not by sight to be where Jesus lives.
