Today
Today my life is changed By the grace of God I was once a child lost, with no care to be found I didn’t even care if I were six feet under ground Life as I perceived it had no meaning for me Because I’d allowed the enemy to blind fold me That in turn made me unable to see Exactly what my Lord had in store for me That is until I prayed to have the enemy unloose me From the torture and the pain that I’d allowed him to cause me There was a time in my life when I honestly thought That I didn’t care about anything in this world Not myself, not my two little boys, not even my beautiful baby girl Now that I’ve come such a long, long way I know that it was the Lord who loved me every single day He has been my strength when I had none He has been with me always when I felt I had no one He was with me when I got off drugs He was with me when I realized it was okay to love- Myself So today I am a better person than the one I used to be Because I’ve finally realized  That the only person I ever had to prove this to was me
