Or maybe something that makes us feel less than. A weakness, a malady, a disease, a birthmark, a scar, damage. Stress, life, or someone has damaged us in some way Our natural tendency is to hide our flaws. Hide our something. Because we have not yet learned that our something Increases our beauty; without it, we are less than whole. Everyone is less than whole, so the courageous share their flaws. Share their something with us. The courageous share their stories, their disease, their mental illness. Not in a braggadocio way, but as if they are normal.
