First Day At School - Ct
I smiled, when I went to school first, And I cried and bloomed a riddle; Kids asked if it was for my thirst, But I gazed when girls did giggle. I smiled for I wanted to learn, And I cried for I had a burn, And our teacher rushed to the scene; I yelled, when she did my burn clean. First, I went to a school and cried, And I smiled when riddle I bloomed; I gazed if it was for my kids, But when I did giggle, girls asked. A few know this lovelier tale, And they oft' tell, and kids all hail.
