That's the Old Bat Sorted
THAT'S THE OLD BAT SORTED There is another three days to go before those bin collectors do arrive I really must do something to get this awful smell under some disguise I threw in some really old rank cabbages, put them right up at the top With old leaves hanging out, so the stink would be blamed on the slop I thought I was having a zombie moment as I saw movement in the bin But, it’s just the local tomcat rummaging about in a half empty tuna tin So Tuesday arrived and the wheelie bin is away without an ado or a say A quick spray with some deodoriser that was it, I was done for the day The street had never known such peace even the kids came out to play Someone must have told them, that the old witch had really gone away And as you know this poem isn't for real, it is just something I made up But; just in case if that wheelie bin smells again, I gave it an extra scrub Indiana Shaw . . . ; ) "Sorry, but; if you think I am bad, just try reading a good old Brothers Grimm's children's fairy tale" . . . *o*
