I wanted Elvis to discover me, and love me through and through. Of course I was old enough to realize it was not going to be. But still I had my dreams, and my swinging fantasy. I watched his movies and felt he was singing straight to me. He was such a marvelous man, a terrific celebrity. I saw his army photos and I swooned, because it is what you do. He was pretty in black and white, and color, through and through. Elvis was good at everything- singing, dancing -the king if you ask me. His voice still makes my heart go pitter pat you see.
