You must keep moving to cover your tracks. Looking for the pig and or your next hit. Looking for a safe place to sleep and something to eat. Looking for a street corner to make your next quick buck. The homeless shuffle is not a new dance craze it's a way of life. The homeless shuffle is what a person does to survive when on the streets. They have to dance to a different beat than others who aren't on the streets. If we dare to care just maybe we can make a difference for those living on our streets. If we dare to get involved maybe there will not be so many on the streets. We need better mental health care if you aren't aware. We need more homes for the homeless and not shelters or jail cells. We need to teach all we can to fish and provide for themselves. We need to show them there is pride to be had in staying clean and healthy. We need more drug reform and more resources to help folks that want to stay clean, really stay clean. The police and social worker need to be a homeless person's friend, not an enemy. The homeless shuffle in our nation so great we need not be doing this.
