My Dappled Garden
On my porch garden I have planted herbs and flowers, and it is there among the green that I find my inspiration; it is a place of deep contemplation, peace, and tranquility. I have worked hard to create this sanctuary of quietude, within a sun dappled spot with a table and chairs for tea; where I am sheltered from wind and I can write all day. A yoga mat ends up a sleeping mat for kitty cat- Oh, in this lush green blooming space I find serenity; and thoughts come to my mind and flutter into words, that drip from my pen. ______________________________ June 29, 2020 Poetry/Light Verse/My Dappled Garden Copyright Protected, ID 20-1263-944-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest, STRAND completely new sponsor, Brian Strand First Place
