What Am I
Can I describe an object? What is it? Please have a guess? It’s just a little exercise, It won’t cause you much stress. The object I’m describing, Usually is long and thin, It comes with some instructions, You should read ‘fore you begin. They come in different colours, Though I’m told that lots are black, They usually are obtained, If there’s something that you lack. When using them they make a noise, A buzz you’d sometimes feel, But there’s a special market for them, Don’t to all appeal. People who’ve reviewed them, Often say that they are great, They have a special purpose, That can often stimulate. They must be cleaned after each use, They dirty often get, Do you need any more clues? Or have you deduced it yet? Their users often older, It’s a pastime they enjoy, But not to everybody’s taste, A user may be coy. Before their use you’d maybe charge, Or change their battery, Surely now you’re close to, Working out what it could be? I’m guessing you’ve got an idea, There’s something on your mind, So I won’t make you suffer more, Cos that would be unkind. I think your thoughts maybe have strayed, But I’ll be your protector, Did you guess the object’s name? Of course - metal detector!!!
