We All Matter
I will be the first to say that “ All Lives Matter, and we are all a part of the human race. But I’m sad , and my mind is nothing but clatter, why am I judged by the color of my face? I weep for my son, cousins , uncles and the like, all we want is to be treated as equals too. We are the same you and I, can I pass da mic? I understand that you matter just like I do. Why focus on color when we’re part of the human race? Racism has caused an unnecessary divide. We must focus on love because discord will leave without a trace. But in the end we must let go of unmerited pride. I will be optimistic and believe real change will unfold, however, it will take you and I to bridge a long overdue gap. In doing that, we will be able to unite and be bold. So love can take root and awaken us from our nap. Alexis Y. 6/20/20
