Blood Moon Rising
Ashes on my porch carried by the wind Some call it change, some call it sin Looks like the fires of hate is the flavor of the day I can smell the smoke from 1000 miles away Air is so thick I can hardly breathe Watching the flames dancing high above the trees The winds of change are blowing, the skies are gray I can smell the smoke from 500 miles away All it takes is one little spark and the worlds on fire Out of control, watch the blood moon rise Standing vigil, waiting for the day to break I can smell the smoke from a 100 miles away Hard to see the truth through the fire in your eyes But there's no denying the the pain you feel inside So let us bury the dead and cover them with grace Can't help but smell the smoke blowing in my face Blood Moon Rising high into the sky Voices crying Oh God please make it right Beyond the darkness I believe there is a light Help us see what is wrong and what is right
