Immediately I sprang up (His request seemed rather fair) But when I looked down behind me There wasn't anybody there? At least that's what I thought But then a deep-voiced "thank you" Had me rather perplexed Now the log was talking too?! "Hungry?" asked the frog, "Because I've spotted quite the treat" "Yes indeed" replied the log "I think it's time to eat" I didn't quite catch on 'Till it was far to late to move But anyway that's the story Of how I became frog food June 4th 2020
