But What Did the Log Eat
One day, by the pond I was sitting on a log When who should sit beside me But a little green frog He turned to match my gaze With his amphibian eyes Cleared his throat and....spoke (Much to my suprise) "Excuse me nice young lady, I don't mean to offend But could you move your bottom As you're sitting on my friend!" Immediately I sprang up (His request seemed rather fair) But when I looked down behind me There wasn't anybody there? At least that's what I thought But then a deep-voiced "thank you" Had me rather perplexed Now the log was talking too?! "Hungry?" asked the frog, "Because I've spotted quite the treat" "Yes indeed" replied the log "I think it's time to eat" I didn't quite catch on 'Till it was far to late to move But anyway that's the story Of how I became frog food June 4th 2020
