I Can'T Breathe
I CAN'T BREATHE My lungs feel sqaushed By the world I feel oppressed My skin color doesn't favor me You see me and you conclude The world doesn't need people like me You decide the world Does not need Black lives. You see me But see no need for me. I'm not good enough to sit next you But it's okay if I make your bed Clean your floors Or feed your sexual desires But no I'm not good enough To live lavishly like you? Years later after segregation Still you see me as just a slave. I can't breathe I can't move I can't do anything But still you believe I'm a threat Even when my last words Are living my bleeding lips I can't breathe I can't move Just by being still I scare you Being Black Must come with Super powers I can't breathe I can't move. #Icantbreathe #Blacklivesmatter #blackrose_lePoet
