Tenebrae - the World's Shadow
Tenebrae – The World’s Shadow A very old, odd man approaches me out of nowhere with his face contorted, fearful, and noticeably sad. A strange person truly he is with . . . deep-set wrinkles that profusely cover his entire face. I notice immediately that this rather unusual man has coal-black eyes—eerie they are. He begins to talk to me haltingly telling me where he comes from . . . A place of utter darkness known as “The World’s Shadow,” he says. Shocked, I am, naturally as this “man” has now entered my private space spewing all this stuff. I am immediately suspect, of course, being the normal and rational man as I believe I am. With the grotesque facial appearance of this very strange man, I am transfixed by his deeply-wrinkled face and coal-black eyes. They send icy-cold shivers up and down my spine as they bespeak a real, true sense of a palpable fear and foreboding. What the Hell?? What the Hell?? I thought . . . Why in God’s creation is this strange man here? Apparently reading the words in my mind . . . he says, “I come from the Earth’s future.” With that, the very word that popped into my mind was “Presentiment” . . . a sense of absolute anxiety and fear. I could see, sense, and feel that this very old man was a Lazarus-sort of character with his sores and all, and his black eyes and a dark demeanor. Despite the shock effect of his appearance, there seemed to be a certain aspect of this very old man that stirred a sense of sympathy deep within my heart and soul. His stark and demonstrative appearance bespoke a sort of character who was perhaps once very holy and had bathed and basked in God’s holy light of promise and redemption. This very old man, this prophet, if you will, told me he was sent to warn the people of today’s world of the force and power associated with the coming darkness of “The World’s Shadow,” and what may befall mankind, if mankind is not vigilant and ready to combat the true spiritual evil that now awaits the human race and its final fate and destiny. The prophet went on to speak of the coming days of darkness that shall envelop mankind, beginning with the arrival of the Dark Angels of Satan, Gorgons, Witches, Warlocks, Ghouls and Goblins. It looks like mankind may end up facing a wrath of an unspeakable fury and ferocity! Before leaving my presence, the prophet told me that in the end it’s really all up to mankind regarding what shall happen, and what the ultimate destiny of the world, as we all know it today, shall be. The prophet said, “Mankind’s best course is to stay in the true radiance and holy redemption of God’s heavenly light.” And then, he added, “If mankind does otherwise and falls prey to the powers of Satan and his dark machinations, the future shall be one of utter darkness and misery.” And so, it is really up to mankind to make the decision of what path to take—to follow the radiant light of Almighty God or to choose the utter chaos and darkness of Satan. It’s mankind’s decision to make in the end. We have no choice and we must get it right! Amen. Gary Bateman, Copyright © All Rights Reserved October 14, 2018 (Lyric)
