Write Relationship
Mother, a woman, extremely unique was a regal, leonine persona. Wise were her many parenting techniques and she didn’t allow any drama. Mom and I had a good relationship mainly because I was her only child. Sometimes it was more like a friendship, kind of girlish and kind of wild. I appreciate her love of literature of adjectives, nouns and verbs. She taught me as an English major and I gained her love of words. Each poem I write I remember that she was my first critic and muse. Even now metaphors of hers linger and become of valuable use. I appreciate the life she gave me the moments and times we shared. I can look back with thankful memory for I know that my mother cared. 5/14/20 'Mother -' Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France
