Diamonds and Dew Drops, O' Don'T They Shine
Light and Dark, World As It Truly Is....... (1.) Diamonds And Dew Drops, O' Don't They Shine Diamonds and dew drops, O' don't they shine loving, I don't want to stop, you're so fine Darling silk and lace, beauty of your face your kiss, your loving smile, your graceful grace. Diamonds and dew drops, O' don't they shine holding this thought, God blessed you are mine Darling with you love is true, love is right with you, life is sweet, with love's highest height. Diamonds and dew drops, O' don't they shine romance is alive, life is so very fine Darling, I so long for your warm embrace my love, my all- you nothing can replace. Diamonds and dew drops, O' don't they shine. Babe, on romance and love we both shall dine. R.J. Lindley, June 12 1981 Sonnet, ( Paradise is found, before the final sunset ) Old note- 1981, deleted New note- April 7th, 2020 I've decided to not alter a word of this old poem. I was very tempted to edit it but thought-- no let it stand as is- as a reminder of my past writings of my youth.... *************** (2.) World Has Now Sharpened Its Darkest Sword World has now sharpened its darkest sword gifting us dire black menace, hidden horde slashing to destroy sweet life and much more into peace and joy massive hole it tore. Invisible beast raging on and on Will we kneel, shall we now pray, soon its gone! World has now sharpened its darkest sword as we sit home often fearful and bored such a nightmare, will it forever stay wrecking havoc as its victims it slays. Invisible beast raging on and on Will we kneel, shall we now pray, soon its gone! World has now sharpened its darkest sword as we see deaths its black-hand has scored cutting down mankind, with its wicked blade from dark hellish pits, its journey was made. Invisible beast raging on and on Will we kneel, shall we now pray, soon its gone! World has now sharpened its darkest sword washing its terror in a bloody ford preying on helpless souls, a heartless beast salivating in its pitiless feast. Invisible beast raging on and on Will we kneel, shall we now pray, soon its gone! Robert J. Lindley, 4-21-2020 Rhyme, ( When Dark Its Destructive Powers Shows )
