Lost In My Mind
Lost in My Mind When hidden away… my emotions and thoughts flow freely, a river of regret and sorrow the water reflecting my own image back at me a dark grey fish breaks the image shattering the illusion that i am fine Like a dam breaking tears rush down my face shaking hands trying to wipe away the salt breaths coming in harsh gasps heart racing like a rabbit running from danger a predator gaining speed my thoughts attacking with sharp claws and teeth i bleed Wounded i eventually make my escape sounds helping to ground me my fingers grasping for help the water stills once more peace is restored my thoughts locked away once more Some words live in my closet, never to be seen by another, my darkest thoughts and deepest worries, my personal demons plaguing my mind
