Questionable Thomas and the Magic Trick
Thomas always asked questions That is how he learned his lessons To celebrate the end of third grade Books were exchanged for a trip in a fair trade His class went to the local magic show Filled with illusions on the go There was an attractive lady that came on to the stage Smiling at the children knowing they were at the gullible age Now with the wand And a magician who was very calm “I will make my friend here Disappear only to bring her back to life” “Is she you wife?” a voice in the dark could be heard With the response coming from the spot light being “That is not the right term,” Feeling a need to explain The magician decided to play the third graders game “She is my significant other not a sister to a brother,” “Calm, Calm my dear we will get them back in a time that will be near.” The assistant remarked about the heckling spark Then she stepped into to the box and was gone like a fox “Where did she go?” The magician shrugged his shoulders Realizing this romance could not get any colder Somewhere out there an answer Was stated about the missing captured dancer “She must of left,” was the cry, “and did not even say good bye” Standing in the white glow Wondering how far the third graders would go “The trick is not done my dear daughters and sons.” Waving his wand An action amusing to questionable Tom This made him raise his hand To ask the magic man A question that would teach a lesson “I do not believe you,” he stated with a grin not allowing the performer to win. “Where is that girl of yours back stage watching the Door?” All of a sudden without a pin drop that one could hear The magical assistant sat behind doubting Thomas creating the feeling of fear “So young doubting Thomas,” the young countess said “You had a question of eternity; I can answer that with certainty since I have never been dead.” “It worked,” Questionable Thomas blew off like a cork. Smiling the assistant took off her mask Showing fangs to answer the question that was asked A few hours later the assistant sat in her dressing room Waiting for the magician to approach her with a question concerning being a groom Suddenly he stood there in the doorway Looking like he had something to say With the theatrical fake fangs on the table The magician found the strength and was able To ask the question from the third grader’s teaching a lesson “Would you?” “I do,” she said wanting to wed Now in each other’s arms Filled with passion no harm She asked a question about the day’s lesson “What did those kids do?” “They made us say ‘I love you’” the magician had the reply Coming to terms that this relationship was no lie
