No More Lost Hats
It is all in the past now, But there was a time, When no hat in its right mind would want to be the one, To sit upon my head, As the chance of a place for life, Not likely on this head, Because once put down, Seldom picked up again, By me, My family the only means of avoiding, Life on another head, Nowhere as handsome as mine, Or guaranteed to be lice free. Things had to change, As family had better things to do, Than be, my chief hat picker upper, And the budget for new hats, No longer in the mix. Luckily, I still had my thinking cap, And once I set my mind to it, The answer came in a flash of brilliance, Admittedly none too soon as far as my family was concerned, Although I suspect they will be thanking me when they reach my age, And have one less item to look for. Hats every where will also be relieved, Once my remedy to the problem reaches all hat owners. What was my solution to this age old problem? Why I park my hat on one of my knees when I sit down, And when I get up I feel the hat move. The moral of this story, Try not to lose your thinking cap. PS Not sure if people who sell hats will be over the moon about this, And may well limit the future sale of thinking caps.
