But You Are - 1 Peter 2: 9-12
But You Are .... (1 Peter 2: 9-12) In Christ you have been changed made alive unto Him a holy son being chosen in royalty of his own from darkness to light spiritually spun God came with heavenly splendour for you didn't belong till now no longer being God's child receive His mercy filled by His spirit now more stronger Now a sojourner an earthly exile fight against passions so to abstain fleshly passions that Satan would increase be victorious in war leave no stain Remember, be a good witness for Jesus never mind what others say about you God shall visit this earth one day be sure to glorify Him in full view But you are a people chosen possessed by God for His glory part of His holy priesthood divine this tells all of His gospel story ("But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.") 1 Peter 2: 9-12
