Part Two the Great Toilet Paper Hoarding of 2020
My Clinician 111 of Compass Health, Greg Richardson, of Everett Washington. Recently told me an amusing personal experience while shopping for clothing at Value Village. He was going to try on some clothing. When he noticed," a package of regular six rolls of toliet paper for $30.00! When it was worth $5.00. Value Village is guilty of price gauging." If it is true, or somebody's idea of a practical joke." My friend Mary C. drove me to several stories in a couple of days. The store shelves were completely bare of toilet paper and other essential hygiene items. The harassed grocery clerks are not even allowed to tell their customers when some more will be available. The amount of people able to buy those available items is rapidly diminishing. My other friend Sharilyn Z is a member of Costco. Their toilet paper shelves were also empty. I informed her I already had paper towels. The homeless people are not currently facing any restrictions. They are encouraged to seek shelter. But happens when the motel vouchers expire? Cocoon House for the young people, The men's gospel mission, and the women's and children's shelter are probably overcrowded. The men's mission is currently serving three meals a day to both men and women. The Community meals to the public will be opened until the Snohomish County Health District decides to close them. The Everett Carl Gipson's senior center with help from Homage was offering lunches to seniors. But one of our members was attending a Friday night's dance and died of COVID-19. Effectively closing down their emergency reasonable cash only meals with lunch cards. Snohomish County has closed down all of its parks. Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin has effectively locked down Everett. People with white paper proviing essential services including long term home health care. Are exempt at this time. My friend Sharilyn Z told me the jewelry department at Fred Meyers is closed for the time being in Everett. Home care workers are no longer able to transfer clients by taking them shopping. Our mayor is criticizing our governor Jay Inslee for not taking enough drastic and necessary actions. I believe he is doing the best he can with our available resources. President Donald Trump has called out the national guard to our state, California, New York and most likely Illinois. I don't know about the state of Florida. Love in Christ Jesus!
