A Young Lad's First Ball Game
In the summer of my youth, on a fair day so grand, my dear old dad took me out to the ball park. Smelling the fragence of the freshly cut grass, was a moment never to forget. The crack of the bat sounds echoing around the ball park is so near my heart, to this very day. Sitting in the warm sun, watching the slow drifting clouds passing over the stadium. A perfect day for baseball, could not ask for better conditions. Red Sox defeated Yankees on this grand day in 1922, when Fenway was still new. Dad and I left, went to corner drug for a coke, what a day, will never forget my first baseball game to see with dear old dad. wrote 9-26-08 NOTE ABOUT SOME YOUNG BOY, IN ANYWHERE USA, WHO SAW FIRST BASEBALL GAME WITH HIS DAD IN 1922.
