Misfit
I tried so desperately to fit in, I wanted to belong. I often felt like a misfit or an alien or something. One day I even asked my mom, if I was an alien. It sucks like hell not fitting in. On most days I wanted to crawl into giant hole and never return. Don’t get me wrong I was loved by mom, dad and my immediate family. If it wasn’t for them I would have built my own spaceship with my bare hands. But that all I changed when I met the “one”. He became my best friend, we were inseparable and joined at the hip. Until one day he came to me and said his family was moving. I was heartbroken and asked him if he could take me. I couldn’t bear becoming an alien and outcast again. He said don’t worry, and that he would find me when he became a man. I waited and waited and he never returned. Years later I was in the local grocery store, I noticed some one staring and following me from a far. I was on edge, I was about to whip out my mace. Until I realized that I recognized my stalker, I pushed everything aside and ran into my stalkers arms. 2-28-2020 Alexis Y.
