I'M Simply Better Than You
I reflect a sense of noble bearing Meant to dazzle and impress. I'm imbued with love and caring With no grievances to address. Now sincerity is my greatest feature Giving rise to all I have achieved. But my love for the lesser creatures May provoke some modest fee. I am given to quiet contemplation Making bold of future strife Where I'm free from surly accusations From those who put value on their life. So like the moon that glistens vibrant luster... My love beams forth and warms the night. But with all the humility I can muster, Step aside... you're standing in my light. I remain a person filled with grace and humor... Far too humble to admit... That I love you without question Respecting your tenacity and grit. But such a thing carries a certain expiration And on this we can agree. You will find me in morbid adulation Because the thing I love most of all... is me. The End *A poem from a story I wrote about a fellow who was a bit of a narcissist. *If you are interested. I will be posting my cartoon 'Bob's Your Uncle' on my homepage.
