My Adult On-Set Type 11 Diabetes Point System
I have been an adult one-set diabetic since 1998. I have developed a point system to help me keep track and better manage my diabetes. The normal blood sugar range is between 80-130. In my system, I would refer to the blood glucose monitor's range as being. 80-130 points. I also refer to this as the target range, and so do doctors. I use a star symbol. On the computer it would be the * symbol. 131-141, I would refer to 131-141 points. Using the abbreviations Pts. Target Range=TR. I would use the check mark symbol to mean okay. 142-179 would indicate the in-between points. I circle the numbers. 180-200 for example I would refer to as the Danger Zone. I use an upside down triangle symbol. I use the initials DZ to indicate these points! I use the arrow system to indicate averages and numbers going up and going down. The up arrow means an higher increase. The down arrow equals a decrease. The greater than symbol is used to indicate the range of the increase. I also use (-) to mean the same or maintenance. (2X) means two or more times and also means maintenance. As well as the decrease. Suppose one day my B/S (Blood sugar) was 170 points one day and 160 points the next day? 170 is greater than 160. My B/S has decreased 10 points. You could also say. 160 is less than 170. The decreased 10 points would remain the same. My blood glucose monitor has averages for seven, fourteen, and thirty days. Lets say my seven day average was 170, my fourteen day average 175 and my thirty day averages was 177. Sometimes the averages remain similar. Either Going up or down using the arrow system. I put everything down in columns: one for the date. one labeled b/s (for the number of days,) one for the actual reading 170 points. and the other one for the averages. (I also monitor my weight) My final column is for comments. 170 is greater than 165. My B/S has gone down 10 points. PBTL (praise be the Lord A-men) You could also use the comment column to make remarks." I wish I would have said no to that chocolate chip cookie. I promise my self since my health is at sake. I will be more careful in the future. And I don't want to go on insulin! I can do all things through Jesus, who strengths me." If you are taking insulin, how can you decrease the times of day you are taking it? Love in Christ Jesus! Roxanne Lea Dubarry Roxy Lea 1954 Roxy 1954/ October Country February 23. 2020
