O' Cenobite, Dar'Est Thy Soul Await
O' Cenobite, Dar'est Thy Soul Await Alas! By what right is such assailing amidst uproar, then half-truths a'telling Does not morn gift upon grass falling dew yet truth perseveres despite what others do Aye! But 'tis not fickle applause a noose tears for the gander, oven for the goose! Fancy fantasy, a cavorting pickle ending hour meets, death's sharpened sickle Shall worthless gain prevent an ending Fate or rabid desserts of dark justice sate Nay! true costs not allayed by clever wit nor decreed banishment to blackest pit! O' Cenobite, dar'est thy soul await cheering crowds and entry at Heaven's gate Are we all not deep fallen and sinner born within life often mistakenly torn Aye! such is the state of darkened din as man in arrogance wallows in sin! Lo! Cover never comes by facile deeds or weeds grown by Paphlagonian seed Dar'est thee by such acts serve a just God as upon such accursed roads yet trod Nay! Seek not garb of Prevaricator none so damn damned reach paradise shore! Seek not those false gems of Reprobation for such goal gifts divine condemnation Should thee seek wealth of a Rhadomancer instead comes reward of a dying cancer Aye! Hands of Fate and Justice sometimes meld into grasp of misery firmly held! Alas! By what right is such assailing amidst uproar, then half-truths a'telling Does not morn gift upon grass falling dew yet truth perseveres despite what others do Aye! But 'tis not fickle applause a noose tears for the gander, oven for the goose! Robert J.
