Find a Guitar Loving Man
I kept telling my sister, please find a guitar-loving man if you can. She thought it was hilarious, and was not a big fan. She found a man in SoHo and fell madly in love. Thought he had been put in her path by the good Lord above. They dated for months before the rest of us met him. Come on down to Florida, I said. Let’s see if he can swim. My husband and I are sitting on the beach when they arrive. On a scale of ten, this new guy had a nine when I watched him dive. I knew almost the second they walked up the sandy wobbly path That he was the one, for I adored how he made my sister laugh. He opened up a bag, took out a ukulele, winked and began to sing. No doubt now that heaven had made him my sister’s future king. We had the best time on that Florida beach, entertaining each other. Best of all, they are married now, and I get to call him brother. Our youngest sister is the only one single woman in the family. But we are in no hurry for her to marry for she is only twenty-three.
