God Is Watching Me
GOD IS WATCHING ME One day I stopped to watch a bird and heard him sing with glee; His song reminded me that my God was watching over me. For Jesus told me that God above knows when you fall from the sky, So could I not believe God’s word: He watches such as I? And then I saw a pretty flower alone in a grassy field, And it reminded me that my God could care for me if I’d yield. Christ said that Solomon, king of old, was not arrayed as these, So could I not trust Him and know my every need He sees? So I will trust the Lord above to over my whole life reign, And I will seek His kingdom first; I know He’ll bless me with gain. And though I may be rich or poor, or healthy, or sick in pain, A brand new body He’ll give to me when He returns again. These words written to “It Came Upon The Midnight Clear.”
