West Kingston Bad Man
Here I am again waiting for it to rain Here I am again waiting to board the plane I have been searching for the moon But it is nowhere to be found It seems as if it is buried somewhere Underneath the distant cloud The sun is going down and is filtering a sweltering heat all over the street It has been a strange month with the mystical sun The heaven is turning around And I don’t know what is really going on The heat is more intense than summer And the tremor yesterday cause me to wonder The climate is playing hide and seek And it is meddling with something in the deep Yesterday there was a terrible tremor Rocking plates and saucer And stirring up running water It wasn’t a full blown earthquake but it was enough Kick up a storm and send panic all over the place I have been feeling this strange heat since I landed here And it is still reoccurring in the New Year Is it climate change or is it another man made game This scorching summer heat is causing havoc in the street There is no perspiration dripping but I can feel the heat penetrating from within. I am sitting here thinking just about every thing Suddenly a school girl comes bursting in flame It made me feel so ashamed. What on earth was she talking about, I had to listen carefully to her shout She vow to fail her upcoming exams If she didn’t have her phone to make her plans I chimed in a bit to calm here raging spirit She listened attentively and smiled at me When I told her that her exam is her responsibility I briefly told her about my experience and how I made it to heaven Before the hour was done her attitude changed and she was sober again You know that today is Wednesday and my heart is very heavy I have been trying to hold back the tears since midday And every time the ideas cross my mind it bring tears to my eyes How much longer do I have to stay here and bear this pain How much longer must I stay here and endure this shame? Going to the beach would be fun but this is not the time right for the beach When my spirit is not at ease I really do not like crowds and besides I have no one to take me for a ride I just want to leave this environment So that I can get my freedom again I am not used to this scorching weather I really want to go where it is colder And listen to the birds singing And the guitar strumming and a real choir singing This heat feels like torture, who is the real author People are walking around looking worn out The heat is tossing them to and fro And people do not know where to go The crowd on the street has decreased And people are getting sober again because the call center is closing down Colorful canopy lined out on Market Street It is taking some of the dangerous heat people are shouting in the street And the traffic is embroiled in the show I heard a loud talk behind me so I turned around to see what was going on The guy in a red cap is smoking marijuana and Started to insult me with his dirty talk I walked up to the table and look straight in his eyes He got so scared and boasted of his affiliation with the baddest man in West Kingston I kept staring in his red marijuana infested eyes and said. “I will stretch you out on the ground I am not afraid of your big gun and your dirty mouth” he looked at me and smiled embarrassingly and walked away And so it was that my spirit rose to deal with a bad man in the burning sun. I beseech you to take me from this place before it is too late. My passion is growing strong and I am not afraid of the bad man. He talks big and he talks dirty but he could withstand power in my eyes He talks bad, he looks bad but he is a big coward. The bad man is really sad
