The Balancing Giraffes
The balancing giraffes were standing high end to end. Each one a relative or a terrifically great friend. I would not have truly believed it myself of course For I have never seen it in elephants or horse. But I was in an airplane over New York City When I looked out the airplane window and saw her pretty. She was the top giraffe, and she was up in the cloud. She was silent, but smirking, not a bit vulgar or loud. How did you get up here? I wondered. Then I looked below She was the top of sixteen giraffes all stacked high in a row. The bottom one was standing on a skyscraper that came way up high. So that is how they got her way up in the air, in the sky. Hey, I said to my sleeping seatmate. Can you see what I see? She looked out the window, but the giraffe was gone now you see. What is it she asked me. Never mind, I said with a sigh. Everybody does not get to see what I see in the sky.
