Instead of proving we are the best of the bunch. The Olympics of Poetry? POTD, first, second, third or honorable mention. Do these bind us together or a cause for separation and dissension? I'd much rather see plain enjoyment of each other's poetry. Where you are you and I am me. A poem, further should stand on it's own. No videos, no images, just let the poet's words roam. Think of Poe, Shakespeare, Cummings or Longfellow. If their words cannot reach us on their own, Must we find an image or video to drive the point home?
