A Sliver of Nirvana
I went for a walk today in the forest, and found nature at her purest; in a glen I found a heavenly scene. of flowers, trees, vines all tangled green. It was so beautiful I thought it was an illusion. if I enter . . . . would I be an intrusion; but as I do- I am wrapped with seclusion, oh, this was no delusion. I went for a walk today in the forest, and found nature at her purest; in a glen I found a heavenly scene, of flowers, trees, vines all tangled green. Hidden in trees a thousand birds are singing, and to pretty flowers- butterflies are clinging; the sound of bees buzzing, buzzing is ringing, and from branches squirrels are swinging. Have I found a sliver of Nirvana? I expected any moment to see the Madonna; laying on grass like silk I fall asleep. and became lost in a dream beautiful and deep. Mother Earth wraps her strong arms around me, and I sigh- for I feel so protected and free; all my worries are drifting and fluttering away, and when I wake I am happy and gay. Laying on grass like silk I fall asleep, and became lost in a dream beautiful and deep. ____________________________ January 20, 2020 Poetry/Lyric/A Sliver of Nirvana Copyright Protected, ID 20-1218-175-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest, Pick A Title, Vol 13- Lyric sponsor, Edward Ibeh, Title Chosen #1 - A Sliver of Nirvana First Place
