Lady of the Morning
My lady of the morning - sings a melody of dawn. She came without a warning, now the chill of night is gone. Her smile can slay the darkness and her music woos the sun... And he will rise to bring the day to burn away the clouds that turn my eyes away from the sun. I close my eyes, she sings and melts the nighttime snows that chilled my heart; she brings the dawn. My lady of the springtime - all the flowers know her name. Songbirds and the waterfalls with glorious sounds proclaim that winter lost the battle, this old heart is not the same... And she will rise to bring the day, to burn away the clouds that turn my eyes away from the sun. I close my eyes, she sings and melts the deadly snows that chilled my heart; she brings the dawn. My lady of the evening - cheek to cheek our dance is slow. The stars have lost their brilliance and the moon, her radiant glow. One light alone can warm the night, the love we two may know... And we will rise to bring the day, to burn away the clouds that turn my eyes away from the sun. I close my eyes, she sings and melts the deadly snows that chilled my heart; she brings the dawn. My lady of the morning...
