Gavin, the Graveyard Gargoyle
This photo was taken in St James Church Graveyard, Benwell, Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, England, UK, I just thought the tree stump resembled a Gargoyle, hence Gavin got his new name, on the close-up photo you can see better where I added an eye and as Gavin was blessed with a small branch stump in his mouth, I made it into a cigarette. Then came the poem . . . GAVIN, THE GRAVEYARD GARGOYLE Gavin the graveyard gargoyle, full of mischief and, full of mirth Alas slipped one day while running through the graveyard turf His bum cheeks caught tightly, between the gravestone kerbs He howled like a little demon but sadly Gavin was never heard So over time poor old Gavin ended up just rooted to the spot With poor old Gavin sitting there resigned this must be his lot Gavin’s days; are now so idly spent as folk from afar do come Day over; he smokes, a cig while sat watching the setting sun "Strange to be: I quite miss, Gavin, I liked our little chats" . . . ; ) Indiana Shaw . . . : )
